UKS2 Netball Tournament

A team of our Year 5 pupils, attended their first ever interschool netball tournament. We won our first 3 matches without conceding a goal and then secured an impressive 0-0 draw against Bourton Meadow Academy, before narrowly losing our final game against Buckingham Primary School by 4 goals to 3. We were the smallest school there, with the smallest squad, and the only school without Year 6 pupils. We have been practising regularly this half term, and our hard work paid off, with our children's newly acquired skills shining through, against physically taller and older players. We finished in 3rd place overall, and were the highest placed small school. The children were delighted with their achievements and I am personally loving my return to competitive netball coaching now we have older pupils. We may be small, but we are mighty!
