School Development Plan

Our key priorities for the 2026-2027 academic year are as follows:

• Raise standards in writing across the school, ensuring all children have secure transcription skills as a solid foundation upon which to build with a focus on spelling and SPAG.
• Establish a consistent approach to the teaching of handwriting, with a clear sequence and progression through the school.
• Ensure scheme resources are personalised, adapted and used discerningly in non core subjects to ensure challenge and appropriacy for all, throughout the school.
• Raise staff confidence and experience in supporting children with ever emerging additional needs. 
• Implement the national changes to the PSHE and RSHE curriculum for 2026
