May Day 2026

On an afternoon in May, we held our traditional annual May Day celebrations. The May King and Queen were joined by the attendants on stage where they were crowned in traditional fashion by last year's King and Queen. The Year 3 and 4 children opened proceedings, performing three different Maypole dances, whilst the Year 5 and 6 children performed a dance through the ages. The Key Stage 1 and Reception children performed traditional country dances. At the end of the afternoon, the children were rewarded for their efforts with a well received ice-cream. We were very impressed with everyone's dancing skills! A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.
