Year 6 Leavers' Day

We marked and celebrated the final day for our first ever Year 6 leavers' today! -History in the making. We held a leavers' service and prize giving, with gifts kindly funded by the PTA, followed by the performance of the children's leavers' song, accompanied by one of our very talented musicians on the guitar. All the children's former teachers attended including Mrs Seaward, the children's first teacher and Mrs Burman who taught the class in Year 1 and Year 3. At lunch time we held a guard of honour for the Year 6s as they came down to lunch. The tables were set for them outside, where they had waitress service from the staff! The day brought a mixture of emotions from children, staff and parents! We will miss our first Year 6 class and are extremely proud of the fine young people they have become during their time with us. We wish them all the best as they prepare to spread their wings in the world. 🥰
