May Day 2021
On a windy and showery afternoon in May, we dodged the showers and held our traditional annual May Day celebrations. The May King and Queen were joined by the attendants on stage where they were crowned in traditional fashion. The Year 2 children opened proceedings, performing three different Maypole dances: The Barber's Pole, The Spider's Web and The Plait. The Year 1 and Reception children performed traditional country dances. At the end of the afternoon, the children were rewarded for their efforts with a well received ice-cream. We were very impressed with everyone's dancing skills! A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
