Growth Mindset

In January 2022, we launched our new Growth Mindset initiative. Based on the theories of Dr Carol Dweck, instilling all our pupils with “growth mindsets” is a key priority for our school.

We want all our pupils to relish challenges, embrace their mistakes as part of the learning process, value the importance of effort, respond carefully and positively to feedback and take inspiration from others. This will help them to achieve, not only at school but also at home, as well as in their future lives as adults. We know that in order to fulfil the potential of our pupils and encourage them to become confident and resilient learners we, as a team of staff and parents, need to model this mindset.

Please click on the information presentation for parents which explains the concept in greater detail with useful tips of how you can work in collaboration with school to develop your child’s “growth mindset.”
