School Council
Welcome to the School Council. In September each year, children in all three classes vote for who they would like to represent them as a member of the School Council. Children from each class are democratically elected and they work hard to discuss and develop strategies to improve our already fantastic school! Our school council representatives for 2022-2023 are:
EYFS-Jasmine and Maichail
Year 1-James and Hannah
Year 2-Daisy and Finnigan
Year 3-Ben and Isabella
Year 4-Alice and Stanley
The School Council helps to provide a voice for all pupils and they meet on a regular basis with Mrs. Wildman the School Council staff member, to discuss any ideas or suggestions that have been made. In the recent past, the School Council have organised events to raise money for our chosen charities; ‘The Quicken Trust in Uganda’ and ‘The Medical Detection Dogs in Great Horwood’ including a Board Games evening, a DVD night, a hot chocolate cafe, an outdoor games afternoon, a cake sale and a second hand toy stall at the Summer Fayre. They have also raised money for our school and made decisions on how to spend the proceeds to the benefit of all children. The School Council like to hold inter-school competitions for example in recent years, they held a competition to design an internet safety poster. The School Council members have lots of exciting ideas and enjoy putting the suggestions of their peers into action. They form a valuable part of the school team.
